Connexions

Connexions is an information support service for 13 to 19 year olds. The organisation works within local communities to help young people with all sort of things that might be affecting them at school, college, work or in their personal or family lives.

Break Free Productions has produced three very different videos for Connexions.

The Connexions U2U Project

a collaborative venture between the Tyne and Wear and County Durham branches of Connexions. It was produced to demonstrate how, over the last 20 years, the face of the North East has dramatically changed.  Traditional industries have disappeared, leaving communities with no work and few prospects for the young people who live there. 

The DVD showed how Connexions is working with young people to raise their career expectations within the coal field villages.  This DVD was so successful that the Chief Executive of Connexions requested a copy to take down to London to show MPs.
